What are you tolerating?
The employee issue, broken process, weak accountability or recurring problem everyone has learned to work around.
Private Strategic Advisory
I work directly with a limited number of established business owners who want better decisions, fewer blind spots and a trusted advisor in their corner when the answer isn’t obvious.
Why this work exists
Large-company CEOs have boards, senior executives and other experienced people around them. Most privately held business owners don’t.
That creates a predictable problem: you can be smart, successful and still be too close to the company to see what is really happening. My role is to bring the outside perspective, pattern recognition and accountability that are often missing inside an owner-led business.
The blind-spot problem
Not to second-guess every decision. To help make sure the right problem is getting your attention.
The employee issue, broken process, weak accountability or recurring problem everyone has learned to work around.
Owners can spend 15 hours a week on work someone else should own while the highest-value CEO work waits.
The problem may not be leads. It may be conversion. It may not be people. It may be leadership. Diagnose before prescribing.
A hire, acquisition, pricing move or strategic distraction can create six-figure consequences. Better thinking matters before the commitment.
Two lenses
Those are deliberately separate conversations. One reveals how the owner is operating. The other reveals what the company actually needs.
What you’re actually buying
The value isn’t the number of Zoom hours on the calendar. It is having someone you trust close enough to understand the business and available when consequential decisions show up.
Two decades across ownership, sales, growth, franchising, brokerage, acquisitions and advising owners.
Someone willing to say, “That’s not the problem,” or ask the question no one inside the company wants to ask.
Important decisions stop living indefinitely on the list of things you know you should deal with.
Growth matters, but so do transferability, risk, owner dependence and the options the company creates for you.
Who this is for
Industry matters less than the stage of the business and the stage of the owner.
Strong fit
Probably not the right fit
Limited by design
Strategic advisory works because I stay close enough to the owner and the business to understand the context, not because I fill a calendar with coaching appointments.
Engagements are built around recurring strategic conversations, preparation and review, accountability, and reasonable access when an important decision deserves another set of eyes.
There is no promise that I will run every implementation project. The point is to make sure you are working on the right things, making better decisions and building a company that gives you more options.
